We recently had the pleasure of hosting students from the National Institute of Plantation Management at our Saviru Spices & Naturals (Pvt.) Ltd. Processing Center and the Technology Demonstration Center of Saviru Technologies and Services (Pvt.) Ltd. This visit was a valuable opportunity for the students to gain hands-on experience in the fields of dehydration and value addition within the spice and natural products industry.

During their visit, the students were introduced to the practical aspects of our operations, witnessing first-hand the processes involved in enhancing the value of agricultural products through advanced dehydration techniques. This exposure provided them with a deeper understanding of how innovative practices can transform raw materials into high-quality, market-ready products.

The field visit was a practical complement to their theoretical training at the Department of Export Agriculture training center in Matale. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, this experience helped solidify the students’ knowledge and prepared them for future roles in the plantation and agriculture sectors.
